About EnlightIn
Expertise shouldn’t be locked inside a job title.
Someone can spend ten years learning how to build a sales team. Another person might spend fifteen years in finance. Another has launched three companies. Another knows exactly how to enter one specific market, because they’ve already done it. That experience has real value — EnlightIn exists to make it easier to find and connect with.
The problem we kept seeing
The traditional way to solve a hard business problem is to hire a consulting firm. For some problems, that’s the right call. But a lot of problems are more specific and more contained than that — a sales team that needs restructuring after entering a new market, a pricing model that needs a second opinion, a go-to-market plan that needs someone who’s actually done it before. Those problems still often end up routed through a large, expensive engagement, because there hasn’t been an easy way to reach the right individual person directly.
At the same time, there are millions of professionals — sales directors, finance leads, engineers, operators, product people, HR leaders, industry specialists — who already have exactly the experience a problem like that needs. Most of them have no simple way to turn that experience into flexible advisory work. Their knowledge stays inside whatever job they currently hold.
EnlightIn connects those two worlds directly.
How it works, from both sides
If you need help
Instead of defaulting to a large consulting engagement for every problem, describe what you’re actually facing. Find people with directly relevant experience. Review their background. Ask questions. Book a conversation. Get practical advice from someone who has already worked through something similar — not a generic framework.
If you have the experience
Your professional experience doesn’t only have to create value for the company you currently work for. On EnlightIn you can answer questions, advise people, build a reputation, and develop real professional relationships. For some experts, that starts as a side income. For others, it eventually becomes a larger consulting practice — there’s no single path it has to follow.
Why EnlightIn, instead of traditional consulting
We’re not trying to replace consulting firms for every kind of engagement — some problems genuinely need a large team. But a lot of problems don’t, and the traditional model wasn’t built for those. We won’t claim a specific percentage cheaper or faster, because that depends entirely on the problem — but the structural difference is real:
| Traditional consulting | EnlightIn |
|---|---|
| Large teams | Direct access to one relevant person |
| High overhead | Flexible, focused conversations |
| Broad frameworks | Experience with your specific kind of problem |
| Longer engagement processes | Book a conversation directly |
| Often more people involved than necessary | A smaller, more accessible engagement |
Our vision
We believe the future of professional expertise will be more open, more direct, and more accessible — not only reachable through large consulting firms, recruitment agencies, or whoever happens to be in someone’s existing network.
We want the first thought when someone hits a hard professional problem to stop being “which firm should we hire,” and start being “who has already solved this?”
The people behind EnlightIn
This section is intentionally left as a real structure to fill in, not a placeholder to hide — EnlightIn doesn’t have fabricated founders, photos, or bios. Replace the block below with the real people building this, why the problem matters to them personally, and what experience they bring.
[Founder name]
[Role, e.g. Co-founder & CEO]
[A short, personal bio — what they’ve worked on before, and specifically why they decided this problem was worth building a company around. This should read like something a real person wrote, not a press release.]
[LinkedIn link, if appropriate]
The founder story
Once real founder information is available, this is the place for the actual story — not an exaggerated version of it. A believable structure to write from:
- The problem — what kept coming up, specifically, before EnlightIn existed.
- The observation — what pattern you noticed across it.
- The frustration — why the existing options didn’t solve it.
- The idea — what you thought might actually work instead.
- The experiment — the smallest version you tried first.
- Building it — what it actually took to get here.
- The vision — where you think this goes.
The goal of this section is a reader thinking “I understand why they built this,” not “these founders are trying to sell me something.”
